Assigned to the American Embassy as a United States Air Attaché to the Associated States of Viet Nam, Cambodia & Laos.   Retired after 30 years service as Col. 27 FEB 1970 and awarded the Legion of Merit (first Oak Leaf cluster) for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding service to the United States as Chief of Information, Headquarters Air Training Command from 13 JUL 1966 to 28 FEB 1970.  Previous awards: Legion of Merit (3 awards),  Distinguished Flying Cross.
This is probably the William H. Huntley in the 34th Fighter Squadron flying from IE Shima Island during WWII.
